| Tragedy in Srinagar: 58-Year-Old Woman Loses Life in LPG Cylinder Blast, 3-Storey House Engulfed in Flames as Firefighters Battle to Control Blaze |
A tragic incident occurred in the Ali Kadal area of Old Srinagar on Saturday, where a 58-year-old woman lost her life in an LPG cylinder blast. The explosion not only caused the loss of a precious life but also resulted in significant damage to a 3-storey house. According to official sources, the fire and emergency department officials were able to control the fire from spreading to other nearby buildings in the densely populated locality.
The woman, identified as Nafeesa, was in the kitchen of the house when the LPG cylinder caught fire and exploded. Sadly, the explosion led to her immediate death. According to locals, Nafeesa had been unwell for quite some time and had been largely confined to her bed.
As the fire raged on, it quickly spread and engulfed the 3-storey house, causing substantial damage to it. However, the quick response of the fire tenders prevented the fire from spreading to other buildings in the neighborhood, saving countless lives and properties.
